COVID-19 and Our Continuing Business Operations

As our firm continues in full operation during the coronavirus situation, here is an update on how we are responding while maintaining uninterrupted services to our clients.

Starting Friday, March 20 at 5:00 pm, we are closing our office to the public until further notice. Our firm is still operating at full capacity and we are committed to completing your tax returns and accounting requirements in a timely manner as we have every tax season. This temporary change is consistent with current guidance from the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The reduced random interactions with the public in close proximity and reduced interactions within our offices, combined with our heightened attention to cleaning and safety protocols, allows our professional and support staff to continue working in a safe and low-exposure environment.
We understand many of you are concerned with completion of your tax returns. We will execute the entire process electronically through portals, emails and our website, including obtaining signatures on authorization forms and payment of our fees. Certified mail is always an option and you can drop off information through the mail slot in our door for more immediate delivery of information to us. The deadlines for tax filings and tax payments for your 2019 returns was extended this week by the government to July 15, 2020. Filing your return early is still highly recommended, especially if you are due a refund. If you owe tax, we still recommend you file your returns timely and wait until the July 15 deadline to pay with the voucher we will supply with your returns.
To preserve seamless workflow and communications, our professional team has secure remote access to the firm’s information systems, and our CPA’s and staff continue to be available by phone during regular business hours and via email. We understand the complex the issues are that you and your business are confronting with the rapidly changing events of the past several days and we are a resource to assist you through this challenging time.
We look forward to the resolution of the coronavirus and a return to normalcy in the near future. In the meantime, we encourage you to contact us with any questions, tax or accounting issues, and we hope that you and yours will stay healthy and safe.
